Why do you need feminism?

Students around the world are rising up against misogyny and sexism, particularly on college campuses. Growing numbers of students are creating feminist groups at their universities. The Guardian recently published a collection of photos sent in by students readers in the UK. These photos are inspiring to say the least as they document the rise of student feminism in the UK.

These photos got us thinking about feminism on our campus and what it means to the students here at Metro.
